The Marlow Education Trust is a Multi-Academy Trust (MAT) founded in October 2016 when Beechview Primary School joined with Sir William Borlase's Grammar School in Marlow.
The vision for the MAT is to enhance the education of children in and around the local community. On joining, Beechview converted to Academy status, becoming Beechview Academy. Since that time two schools have worked in close collaboration, overseen by the MAT Directors.
The benefits to Beechview in the first three years of the MAT have included increased funding through successful bids to central government for major improvements to the schools buildings, totalling nearly £2million. The MAT has also shared staff, with specialist teachers of Music, French, PE and Science all spending extended periods working alongside Beechview's staff. The Marlow Education Trust also runs a Teaching School network, called the Marlow and Maidenhead Learning Alliance, which has given Beechview the chance to participate in a wide range of staff development as well as supporting four trainee teachers under the School Direct Programme.
